Reopening of Village Facilities

Village Logo

With the issuance of Executive Order 2020-110 on June 1, 2020, the Village offices and other facilities will begin to reopen in the coming weeks. Please check the dates below regarding the reopening of facilities.

Playgrounds Reopening

Effective Friday, June 5, 2020 playgrounds in the Village will reopen in accordance with the rescinding of the Oakland County Public Health Order that closed playgrounds in March. Per the County, the following measures should be observed by those using recreational facilities. Playground equipment is not routinely cleaned or disinfected.

  • Stay at least six feet from others at all times. This can make some open areas, trails, and paths safer to use. Do not enter a crowded area.
  • Minimize gathering with others outside of your household.
  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Keep hand sanitizer with you (at least 60% alcohol) for times when soap and water are not available.

Please note that at this time, the restrooms in Central Park remain closed, so please plan accordingly. We are currently working on a plan to reopen the family restrooms shortly and hope to be able to announce details in the coming days.

Village Offices Partially Reopening

Effective, June 8, 2020, Village Offices will be open to the public by appointment only. Please contact us at 248.684.1515 to schedule an appointment. Masks covering the nose and mouth are required for all those entering the Village Offices.
