Tree Inventory Underway

The Village of Milford has received a grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to conduct a tree inventory throughout the Village.

Employees from Davey Resource Group will be in town for the next few weeks conducting the inventory and inspections of individual trees. They will be carrying appropriate identification and will be in well-marked vehicles. They are only focusing on trees in the public right-of-way and parks and will not need to access private property.

The results from the inventory will be made available on the Village website later this spring, once the work is completed. The goal of the project is to help the Village prioritize, protect, and better manage our inventory of approximately 2,500 trees along streets, in parks, and at other public facilities.
