A Special Meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, May 29th at 6pm inside the Village Council Chambers, 504 ½ East Maple St., Holly, Michigan 48442.  This Special Meeting is to create a Special Assessment District for the June 10th, 2025 Public Hearing on proposed financing of Police & Fire Services.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED FINANCING OF

POLICE AND FIRE SERVICES THROUGH A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT

 

TO: CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE OF HOLLY, OAKLAND COUNTY, MICHIGAN.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on June 10th, 2025, a public hearing will be held by the Holly Village Council at the Village Hall, 504 ½ E. Maple Street, Holly, Michigan 48442 (Telephone: 248-634-9571), at 6:00 p.m. local time, to hear and consider comments or objections to the proposed distribution of the special assessment levy.

The proposed distribution of the special assessment levy is on file with the Village Clerk and available for inspection or copying during regular business hours at Village offices located at 504 ½ E. Maple Street, Holly, Michigan 48442.

Property owners have a right to appeal a special assessment levy to the Michigan Tax Tribunal. The property owner may appeal the assessment levy only if an appearance is made at the hearing at which the roll is confirmed. An appearance can be made in person or by mail and can be made by an agent for the property owner in accordance with (MCL 211.741).

The Village of Holly will provide necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services at this hearing, such as signers for hearing-impaired persons and audiotapes of printed materials for visually impaired persons, upon receipt of five days’ prior notice. Disabled persons requiring such auxiliary aids or services should so notify the Village of Holly by contacting the Village’s office at 504 ½ 504 E.
