(TROY, MI)The City of Troy is experiencing below normal water pressure in the area because of a failed valve. The affected area is generally from Wattles to South Boulevard and Adams to Coolidge. For a more detailed map, visit the City of Troy website at troymi.gov or any of Troy’s social media. There is NO cause to boil water at this time.

Residents and businesses in this area can help by reducing water consumption. We encourage residents to turn off lawn irrigation systems and other nonessential uses of water. If residents in this area experience a total loss of water pressure, they should contact the Troy Police Department non-emergency at 248.524.3477.

The Troy Water and Sewer Division is replacing the failed pressure-reducing valve. The valve is responsible for regulating the incoming water pressure delivered by the Great Lakes Water Authority at Square Lake and Adams.

Crews are expected to have the repair and replacement of the valve completed by noon on Monday, August 6, 2018, at which time pressures will be back to normal levels and all uses of water can be reinstated. We will keep the public updated of any changes through the City of Troy website at troymi.gov and social media. (See map attached)
