As the temperatures dip and the days grow shorter, warm comfort food is in order. Stop by the market to pick up farm-fresh fruits and vegetables for delicious soups, stews and muffins. Later in the month, choose ingredients for stuffing, side dishes and pies for your Thanksgiving dinner.
Throughout November, some of the available in-season produce includes: apples, brussel sprouts, celery, onions, potatoes, rutabagas, squash (acorn and butternut) and turnips.
Tempt your tastebuds with flavorful homemade jams, tamales, gourmet dips, chocolates, pies, cookies, fudge, cupcakes and other treats. Celebrate the season with holiday greenery: evergreen branches, wreaths, memorial decor, holiday twigs and berry branches. Shop for knitwear, soap, jewelry and more.
Stop by the market on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to pick up freshly-baked pies, produce and holiday decor!
Grab a bite to eat while you peruse the market! The Red Wagon Grill is on site Tuesdays and Thursdays with breakfast sandwiches to start your day, and authentic smokehouse barbecue options for lunch, complete with tasty side dishes.
The Farmer’s Market is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. through December. The Flea Market is open Sundays, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., year-round.
Oakland County Market is located at 2350 Pontiac Lake Road in Waterford. The market now accepts SNAP, Bridge Card, WIC and Senior Project Fresh coupons.
