We all shine on...like the moon and the stars and the sun
Make a wish upon a star at the Winter Star Party on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 8 – 10 p.m. at the Wint Nature Center in Independence Oaks County Park.
Learn about Orion the hunter and Taurus the bull along with all the constellations we can see during the winter season. Enjoy a planetarium show inside the Nature Center’s StarLab and view deep sky wonders through telescopes provided by the Oakland Astronomy Club (weather permitting). Make a cosmic craft and enjoy a star-studded snack!
Suitable for adults and school-age children. Cost is $4/person. Pre-registration with payment is required. Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. To register, call 248.858.0916 on weekdays or 248.625.6473 on Saturdays.
Independence Oaks County Park is on Sashabaw Road, 2 1/2 miles north of I-75, in Clarkston.
