Join Oakland County as we honor Juneteenth, a historic day marking the end of the enslavement of Black people in the United States and celebrating the continued drive for equality for all.
Our theme, "Stronger Together: Celebrating Freedom & Community," reflects our commitment to fostering inclusion and collaboration among all citizens.
This vibrant celebration welcomes employees and the general public for an afternoon of reflection, joy, and community. The event will feature:

Students in grades K–12 are invited to participate in Oakland County’s Juneteenth Art & Essay Contest! Submissions are due by May 23, 2025 — winners will be recognized at our Juneteenth Celebration on June 18. Visit the Oakland County Juneteenth Art & Essay Contest webpage for more information.
