Waterpark, wave pool to close for the season
Red Oaks Waterpark and Waterford Oaks Wave Pool will close on Tuesday, Sept. 3 for the 2024 season. Both aquatic centers will be open through Monday, Sept. 2 with limited times as detailed below.
Red Oaks Waterpark’s schedule for the remainder of the season is as follows:
- Noon-6 p.m. through Aug. 25, open with reduced operations (River Ride unavailable)
- Aug. 26-30, closed
- Noon-6 p.m., Aug. 31-Sept. 2, open with reduced operations (River Ride unavailable)
Waterford Oaks Wave Pool's remaining 2024 schedule:
- Friday, Aug. 23, closed
- Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 25 open noon-4 p.m.
- Monday, Aug. 26-Friday, Aug. 30, closed
- Saturday, Aug. 31; Sunday, Sept. 1; and Monday, Sept. 2 noon-4 p.m.

Waterford Oaks Wave Pool ticket prices are $15 regular rate; $12 Oakland County resident rate. Children ages 0-1 are free with paid adult admission.
Red Oaks Waterpark ticket prices will be reduced during the remainder of the season. Tickets are $18 regular rate; $15 Oakland County resident rate; and free for children ages 0-1 with paid adult admission.
Guests are encouraged to purchase waterpark and wave pool tickets at OaklandCountyParks.com up to three days prior to day of visit. Tickets can also be purchased on site when the parks are open.
Red Oaks Waterpark
Red Oaks Waterpark is a family-friendly waterpark that offers multiple attractions: Wave-action pool; triple-flume waterslide; River Ride; and SplashTown featuring a children's splash pad with 52 interactive water features, including a water play climber with slides and a dumping bucket. The wave pool and River Ride are heated. Oakland County Parks lifeguards are trained through the Jeff Ellis and Associates International Lifeguard Training Program and are licensed by Ellis to work at OCP facilities. Lifeguards take part in an initial 24 hours of training, 10 hours of orientation, on-site training and 10 hours of shadowing a veteran lifeguard on duty at the pool. Lifeguards are required to attend ongoing in-service training throughout the summer to ensure their lifeguard skills continue to be top-notch. Management staff oversees the lifeguards daily.

Waterford Oaks Wave Pool
Waterford Oaks’ tropical wave pool features palm trees and bubbler fountains near the shore. A children’s water playground features more than 30 interactive activities. All pools are heated. Other amenities include a bathhouse with showers and lockers, lounge chairs and tubes. On-site food is not available. Waterford Oaks Wave Pool is the perfect spot for a picnic with grills available in picnic areas to prepare your own food. Patrons are welcome to bring their own lunch, dinner or snacks. However, no glass or alcohol is allowed on the premises.
