On behalf of Oakland County, I would like to thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country. We are indebted to you for your contributions to our freedom and security. Oakland County is here for you just as you have been here for us. As a way of saying thank you and making your local travel a bit more convenient, we are pleased to offer you free transportation throughout the county. Whether you need a ride for medical appointments, errands, or leisure, This Ride’s On Us. Beginning on June 1, 2024, Oakland County Veterans Services, in collaboration with the Oakland Transit division, will provide free transportation to any location in Oakland County. Participating transit providers include: SMART, WOTA, NOTA, OPC, and People’s Express (PEX). To schedule your trip, just call (248) 419-7984, at least 72 hours in advance. When scheduling your trip, have one of the following documents verifying your veteran status ready:

Once again, thank you for your service and dedication. We are honored to serve you in return. If there is anything else we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to reach out to Oakland County Veterans’ Services.
