Dear supporter of the Oakland County Office of the Water Resources Commissioner,
We want to extend a thank-you to everyone who attended or participated in Monday’s news conference unveiling the Hardship Assistance Program to help with water affordability throughout Oakland County. We are especially grateful to United Way for Southeastern Michigan's CEO Dr. Darienne Driver Hudson, Oakland County Executive David Coulter, Oakland County Commissioner Ann Erickson Gault and State Sen. Stephanie Chang and for the support of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners and Chairman David T. Woodward.
The event, held at the George W. Kuhn Retention Treatment Basin Training Facility in Madison Heights, was a huge success that resulted in significant news coverage throughout metro Detroit and in Lansing, including WWJ-AM and WJR-AM, Crain’s Detroit Business, the Detroit Free Press, WXYZ-TV (Channel 7), WDIV-TV (Channel 4) and MIRS in Lansing.
What a fantastic start to National Drinking Water Week, which runs May 5-11.

Thank you,
