Enjoy biking and kayaking close to home
Enjoy the outdoors and the nature all around us during two upcoming programs: Adaptive Biking Program Launch Party and the Adaptive Kayaking Workshop series.
Adaptive Biking Program Launch Party
During this free program from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, there will be handcycles, trikes, recumbent bikes and e-bikes for participants to try at Independence Oaks County Park in Clarkston. All bikes are adult sizes. All riders must wear a helmet. Bring your own or wear one provided. Water and granola bars will be provided.

Adaptive Kayaking Workshop Series
At this Adaptive Kayaking Workshop series, all equipment will be provided and no kayaking experience is necessary. All abilities are welcome.
All workshops will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. A $10 donation per kayaker secures a one-hour spot. Dates and locations are:
- June 18 at Independence Oaks County Park
- Aug. 7 at Lake St. Clair Metropark
- Sept. 12 at Independence Oaks County Park
