Let's work together to remove invasive species
Seeking to reduce the risks that invasive species pose to the environment, Oakland County Parks and Oakland County Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA) partners are hosting garlic mustard pulls this spring. These events seek to reduce this common invasive species, which can prevent native plants from thriving.
Consider volunteering at these partner garlic mustard pulls:
- May 2, 5:30-7 p.m. at Harding Green Space (parking at Rivercrest Professional Center, 940 W. Avon Road).
- May 4, 8:30-11:30 a.m. at Coldwater Springs Nature Area in Northville
- May 4, 9 a.m.-noon at Lakeshore Park, 601 S. Lake Drive in Novi.
