The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) would like to inform you of two upcoming CDC Current Issues in Immunization (CIIW) Webinars on August 23 and August 30.

  1. Childhood and Adult Pneumococcal Recommendations

August 23, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (ET)CDC will give updates on childhood and adult pneumococcal vaccine recommendations.

Hosted by the Division of Bacterial Diseases (DBD) in the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). Featuring Dr. Miwako Kobayashi, MD, MPH, Medical Officer, Division of Bacterial Diseases, NCIRD.

  1. New RSV Vaccines for Adults: General Information and Clinical Guidance 

August 30, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (ET)CDC will give updates on the new RSV vaccines for adults.Hosted by the Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division (CORVD) in the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD).
