Special Terms and Conditions (Ts and Cs) for software and related items are becoming more and more commonplace for OEM customers. Several OEMs have already added software-specific language to their general Ts and Cs. Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) Access and Certification Grant

The PMBC Access and Certification Grant is designed to break down barriers preventing Michigan businesses from winning purchase orders. The program has three objectives:

  • Increase supplier access to local and global procurement opportunities
  • Improve competitiveness in advanced manufacturing for Michigan small businesses
  • Enhance supplier capabilities and open doors to new industry verticals

Up to $15,000 in assistance is available to offset 75% of pre-approved expenses per fiscal year. Your company will pay for the certification or software and the MEDC will reimburse 75% of those expenses, after receiving valid proof of payment. Companies must meet eligibility criteria to qualify for the PMBC Grant.

Industry 4.0 and Advanced Manufacturing Roundtable:

Together with Automation Alley and the Michigan State University (MSU) International Business Center, Michigan Economic Development Corporation invites I40 and advanced manufacturing exporters across the state to this virtual roundtable discussion with industry peers to share successes and challenges of entering or expanding into global markets. Discussion will focus on export opportunities, key markets, and company insights into services MEDC’s International Trade Program can incorporate to better support exporters in 2022 and beyond.

2022 Michigan World Trade Week Business Conference: May 4, 2022

The 36th Annual Michigan World Trade Week Business Conference will take place on May 4, 2022! Michigan World Trade Week is organized by the U.S. Commercial Service (CS) and Grand Valley State University's Van Andel Global Trade Center (VAGTC), with support from the World Trade Week Planning Committee. Michigan World Trade Week is a celebration of international trade and business growth for Michigan. The event will be held in-person at the Grand Valley State University Seidman College of Business in Grand Rapids.
