The Oakland County Health Division has recently added booster dose clinics for the Pfizer, Moderna and J&J COVID-19 vaccines throughout the region.
Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Visit www.OaklandCountyVaccine.com for addresses and times, or to schedule an appointment. Those who do not have access to the internet may call the Nurse on Call at 800-848-5533 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. for more information.
Residents may also request a flu shot when they show up to get their COVID-19 vaccine at an Oakland County indoor clinic. Please note that the flu vaccine is not available at drive-through clinics.
Oakland County Health Division continues to be focused on limiting the transmission of COVID-19 by immunizing residents who remain unvaccinated. About 281,000 eligible Oakland County residents remain unvaccinated, at least 45,000 of whom are ages 12-19 years old. New cases of COVID-19 continue to grow, especially among unvaccinated residents. Of the more than 5,000 new confirmed and probable cases in Oakland County from Oct. 4-17, residents 39 years old or younger accounted for 53 percent of the new cases.
Applications are now open for the Oakland Together 40 Under 40 class of 2022.
The County Executive’s award program, formerly known as the Oakland County Elite 40 Under 40, seeks individuals who live or work in Oakland County, are between the ages of 18 and 39, and who have shown high achievement in their professional field, exemplified creative innovation, or have provided significant and essential service to their communities.
The 40 finalists, who will be featured on the Oakland County Oakland Together 40 Under 40 website, will receive invitations to the 2022 State of the County Address and pre-reception, and to the Oakland Together 40 under 40 Award celebration.
