COVID-19 vaccinations offered at Groveland Oaks
COVID-19 vaccinations will be available on site at Groveland Oaks County Park and Campground from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, July 3. Vaccines will be given at the Concession Building.
Oakland County Health Division staff will be administering the vaccines to anyone 12 and older (minors must have parental consent). The Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be provided.
There will be no park entry charged for those only interested in the vaccination event. Masks are encouraged for those receiving their vaccine.
The Health Division is also holding daily vaccine clinics from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at both its North Oakland Health Center in Pontiac and South Oakland Health Center in Southfield. Oakland County residents who receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by July 4 will receive a $50 Visa gift card. This incentive will be offered until July 4, 2021, or until all gift cards have been distributed, whichever comes first. Persons under 18 are eligible to receive a vaccine and a gift card with the consent of their parent or legal guardian. This is not a lottery, and the COVID-19 vaccine is provided free of charge. No person will be asked to pay any money in exchange for the COVID-19 vaccine or the $50 gift card. There is no element of chance involved in this incentive.
Groveland Oaks County Park
Groveland Oaks County Parks and Campground is located on Stewart Lake just 1.5 miles east of I-75 “exit 101” in northern Oakland County. Large 50’ x 50’ full hookup and modern campsites, group camping areas, eight cabins, four yurts and two Island pavilions for group parties. Park features Stewart Lake, a sandy beach, miniature golf, campground recreation program, pedal boat and kayak rental, bike rental, fishing pier, three large children’s playscapes, skateboard park, bike skills course, basketball and volleyball courts, paved trails and the Blue Water Grill concessions/campground store.
