Parks Historian Carol Egbo shares historical information during a TrailBlazer program at Catalpa Oaks County Park last year.

TrailBlazer program takes a peek into the past, and takes a walk

This week's TrailBlazer Walking Series program combines fitness with history as our historian shares the fascinating story of the Bailey family.

Join us at the Independence Oaks Ampitheater from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 28 to learn more about the Bailey homestead. After a short hike, parks historian Carol Egbo will share information about the life William and Clarissa Bailey built in Independence Township raising their 10 sons.

So that appropriate social distancing can be maintained, please RSVP for the program by texting or calling 248-343-6287. This is a free program; vehicle permits are not required. Park in the Wint Nature Center parking lot and meet at the Cohn Amphitheater. A park map is available online at OaklandCountyParks.com.
