There's no time like tee time this autumn
The weather may be cooling down but the action is heating up at Oakland County Parks and Recreation's five golf courses this autumn. Fall golf rates go into effect beginning Monday, Sept. 30.
Head out to Glen Oaks Golf Course in Farmington Hills, Lyon Oaks Golf Course in Wixom, Red Oaks Golf Course in Madison Heights, Springfield Oaks Golf Course in Davisburg and White Lake Golf Course in White Lake to enjoy plenty of play and sweeping scenic views of fall foliage.
Each golf course is unique, offering different levels of play for golfers of all ages and abilities. The last day to golf is Monday, Nov. 11.
Glen Oaks Golf Course
Glen Oaks Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 70 course with par 3 holes crossing streams with rolling terrain. Tee times are taken 30 days in advance. Clubhouse with pro shop and grill room with outdoor patio provides golfers with amenities; beverage cart service is available on the course. Tee-to-green cart paths facilitate play in wet weather.

Lyon Oaks Golf Course
Lyon Oaks Golf Course is an Arthur Hills-designed, 18-hole course on 230 acres. This par 72 championship golf course has an "Up North" feel in southwest Oakland County with hardwood forests and wetlands. Wide fairways enhance playability and the course includes a state-of-the-art practice facility with target greens and a practice bunker.

Red Oaks Golf Course
Red Oaks Golf Course, designed by Jerry Matthews, is a 9-hole, par 31 course, great for beginners yet challenging for experienced golfers. The clubhouse offers a pro shop, meeting room and outdoor patio. New at Red Oaks is FootGolf, played on a 9-hole course built within the nine of Red Oaks Golf Course.

Springfield Oaks Golf Course
Springfield Oaks Golf Course is a scenic 18-hole, par 71 course. The front nine is open and hilly. The back nine is tighter, with more trees and water. The course is certified by the Michigan Turfgrass Environmental Stewardship Program for exceeding requirements to protect natural resources.

White Lake Oaks Golf Course
White Lake Oaks Golf Course is a scenic 18-hole, par 70 course offering 30-day tee time reservations. The player-friendly layout has an open front nine and tight back nine with woodlands and wetlands. The clubhouse features a pro shop, club room, garden patio, banquet facilities and an outdoor wedding garden.
