PSA: 2019 Tax Foreclosure Prevention

As the April 1 tax foreclosure deadline approaches, Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner is appealing to families and businesses with delinquent property taxes to engage the Treasurer’s Office immediately and explore options to prevent foreclosure.

The Public Service Announcement video is available with subtitles in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Don’t lose your home or business due to delinquent property taxes.

Community Taxpayer Assistance Meetings (TAMs)

Taxpayer Assistance Meetings are face-to-face meetings with Treasurer's staff to discuss delinquent property taxes and set up a repayment schedule for those eligible. Upcoming dates and locations are:

• December 6, 2018 - Southfield Parks and Rec Building, 10am-8:30pm
• December 11, 2018 - County Courthouse South Entrance, 1pm-7:30pm
• December 12, 2018 - Wixom Public Library, 1pm-7:30pm

Call for Entries: 2019 Financial Literacy Art Contest

The Financial Literacy Multimedia Art Contest is for Oakland County high school students. Winners earn college scholarships or cash awards and the opportunity to have their work displayed in the Treasurer's Office.

The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2019. Application instructions and previous contest galleries can be found here.
