Artists from eight southeast Michigan counties have the
chance to strut their stuff as the MI Great Artist online art competition kicks
into gear. Cash and prizes total more than $16,000.
Visual artists who are at least 18 years old who live, work or
go to school in the following counties are eligible: Genesee, Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Shiawassee,
St. Clair and Wayne.
They may submit up to five original works online at
MIGreatArtist.com. A public vote will determine the top 30 artists. New this year, the top vote getter will receive the “People’s Choice” award and is automatically one of the five finalists. A panel of arts
professionals will choose four other finalists and ultimately the winner.
