Go on a hike to observe plants and animals up close, have fun learning about butterflies, explore the night sky and discover more about insects.
There is plenty to do this summer at Oakland County
Parks and Recreation's two nature centers: Wint Nature Center in Clarkston and Red Oaks Nature Center in Madison Heights.
Register by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays. On Saturdays, call
248-585-0100 for Red Oaks Nature Center or 248-625-6473 for Wint Nature
Center.
 Red Oaks Nature Center
Red Oaks Nature Center is located at 30300
Hales St. in Madison Heights. The center offers family nature programs,
exhibits including native live animals and classroom space. It is also linked
to a trail system for visitors to explore the outdoors.

 Wint Nature Center
Wint Nature Center is located in Independence Oaks County Park, 9501
Sashabaw Road in Clarkston. The center features year round interpretive programs,
a recently renovated exhibit space and an extensive trail system for adults and children to explore plants, animals and insects.
