The Rochester Garden Club is holding its 71st annual Greens Market at the Rochester Schools Administration Building, 501 West University, Rochester Hills, MI 48307
Customers can get a head start on the holiday season and purchase beautiful fresh and permanent holiday arrangements, fresh greens, baked goods and crafts.
Market days are Friday, December 1 from 9 am to 6 pm, and Saturday, December 2 from 9 am to 1 pm with a $2.00 admission.

Meadow Brook Naturalists Meadow Brook Hall 350 Estate Drive, Rochester MI
Meadow Brook Naturalists, are a Meadow Brook Hall volunteer group dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the woodland areas around Meadow Brook Hall. The Naturalists are looking for volunteers to help restore the woodlands around the hall by removing invasive plants and planting native trees, shrubs and perennials.
Workdays in November and December are the 1st and 3rd Thursday's from 9am until noon. Meet by the garage in the courtyard. Please dress appropriate as we will be working in natural woodland/wetland areas that could have thorns or poison ivy. Close toed shoes/boots are necessary. Tools will be provided.

Are you a Master Gardener or a home gardener who wants to expand your experiences and knowledge? MSU Tollgate Gardens are the perfect place for you. Here is the opportunity to continue your education by working side by side with seasoned gardeners. These smart and welcoming people are always happy to share their knowledge. Being a Tollgate volunteer has many advantages: participating in monthly programs with speakers, sharing your gardening experiences and making new friends. Garden workdays are every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until noon with a hot dog and potato salad lunch provided after the workday.
Tollgate is a 160 acre "Oasis" located in the heart of Novi at the corner of Meadowbrook & 12 Mile Roads. Just look for the long white fence.

Bittersweet Farm Plant-A-Row Community Garden

Volunteer gardeners convene at Bittersweet Farm every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until noon, providing organically-grown vegetables for Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan.
Our 2016 harvest yielded 2,400 pounds of produce, providing nutritious food for needy people in southeastern Michigan – more than 70,000 in Oakland County alone.

Help keep our Native Garden Project Growing! Winter Work Tasks: November - April With winter almost upon us and our “outdoor” garden work coming to an end we will turn our focus “indoors”. Volunteers are welcome to assist us with any of the following indoor tasks:
* Brochure creation: We provide the content, you provide the design
* Small educational signage: Create content and/or the design to be placed in the garden mid-2018
* Scavenger Hunt Sheets: Design and create seasonal fun sheets for children * Assist with Planning our First Native Plant Sale spring 2018!
