Thank you for helping get the word out about the first-time, county-wide Small Business Saturday program. We are hoping it will be a great contest to support our small businesses and to generate shopper fun on November 26.

On November 15, registration will close for small business retailers.* Please encourage your community’s small businesses to go to the website and register today.Their listing will be promoted to shoppers to help increase foot traffic – and all registered retailers are automatically entered to win a $1,000 American Express Gift Card, sponsored by CEED Lending.

Beginning November 10, printed posters and mini-brochures instructing shoppers how to enter the contest will be available for pickup or delivery. Visit the One Stop Shop Business Center to pick up printed copies: Oakland County Executive Office Building, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Bldg #41W, Waterford. Contact us if you would like a delivery and specify quantities needed. These materials are for the small business retailers to use. Remind your businesses that there is a Digital Promotion Tool Kit at the website.
- You can download a Shop Small ad from the website to post on your website to promote the program and link to all the contest information.
- Attached is a print-ready flyer that you can customize to get the word out to your community’s small businesses on what they need to do to promote the Small Business Saturday Shopper Contest.

*Shopper receipts (dated November 26) from registered and non-registered small businesses are all eligible for shopper contest entry. A small business is defined for this program as an independently owned and operated, legal, brick and mortar business in Oakland County.
