Keeping up with MICIP Platform Changes
 |
|
Impersonate has changed in the MICIP platform. When the impersonate button is pressed a new modal pops up with a drop-down menu option. Choose from the three options to proceed. If you have a MSD Ticket Number add that. Record any notes for the use of impersonate under notes. |
End Target Measure Report and Webinar
-
We are pleased to share a brief recorded webinar designed to support district and school leaders in understanding and using the End Target Measure (ETM) Report specifically designed for schools identified for CSI.
Many schools and districts may already be familiar with this report through recent professional learning sessions or support from their ISD partners. This webinar serves as a resource, offering clear guidance on interpreting the report and connecting it to goal setting, planning, and continuous improvement efforts. After viewing, to receive a copy of your report, please email Jennifer Curtis .

SSoS Survey Roster
Basis Policy Research, on behalf of the MDE, will administer the annual Statewide System of Support survey beginning April 14. To ensure survey invitations reach the appropriate personnel, ISD/ESA personnel are invited to review and update contact information for schools reidentified for CSI, exiting CSI, or newly identified for CSI in November 2025.
If possible, please review your roster by Friday, March 27.
What to do:
- Access your ISD/ESA survey roster using the Roster Link provided below.
- Verify listed contacts (building, district, ISD/ESA) for each school identified for CSI.
- Add or remove names as needed.
- Include any relevant notes in the “Notes” tab.
Here is access to Roster Links and more detailed information.
For questions, please contact surveys@basispolicyresearch.com.
MICIP Refresher-Virtual Training
MICIP Refreshers are one-on-one virtual trainings with Dot to review the MICIP Platform. This can be for new users looking for a little more support, or veteran users who just need a little "refresher" on spaces in the platform.
If you are interested in a "refresher" contact Dot Blackwell, MDE MICIP Lead, at Blackwelld1@michigan.gov, to set up your session.
What's New in the MiStrategy Bank?
Is your district using Instructional Rounds, Learning Labs, or Walk-Throughs as part of a continuous improvement strategy? These practices can strengthen Tier I instruction, monitor implementation, and generate meaningful data about classroom practice. Explore the newest addition to the MSB, Collaborative Instructional Learning Cycles, curated by the Michigan Department of Education, which provides a structured approach to classroom observation that supports continuous improvement and job-embedded professional learning.
If you have questions about how to use the MSB, MDE strategies in the MSB or need a hand with creating your own strategy, please do not hesitate to contact Dave Carlson, MDE-Lead for the MSB, who would be happy to assist you.
