Your afterschool program data and information is vital and required.
By registering today, you can contribute to building Michigan's afterschool profile among decision-makers whose support is vital for Michigan's children, families and programs.
You can register your programs today at miafterschool.org. Assistance for completing the registration and answering any questions can be directed to Kate Porter at

We are fast approaching the critical time to inform our new Governor and state Legislature, taking office in January, about the need for and the benefits of high quality afterschool programs. In an effort to gather and disseminate critical data points regarding the state of afterschool in Michigan, the Michigan After-School Partnership is developing a web-based platform to help build a baseline snapshot of the current afterschool program landscape to inform these conversations.
The web-based platform will consist of both data collection and reporting tools. Afterschool program data will be collected and displayed in a publicly accessible directory (named "Program Locator"), where users will be able to search for programs by location, topic areas, grades/ages served, and program schedule as well as form the basis for critical reports to policymakers.
It is critical that we have all programs registered on the directory by December 31, 2018. With the new Administration and lawmakers preparing to take office within weeks, now is the time to collect important data to educate leaders about afterschool's critical standing in our education system.
Please forward this message to anyone you know involved in out-of-school time programming. We want to show just how many are dedicated to the hard work of out-of-school time in Michigan.
Thank you for being part of an important effort to inform elected officials and state decision-makers!
