The Library of Michigan and Carl The Tree were recently featured in a news segment by WZZM 13 On Your Side, the ABC affiliate based in Grand Rapids. Community Engagement Librarian Adam Oster talked about many of the unique items that visitors can find at the Library of Michigan as well as highlighted the story of Carl The Tree, the large white pine tree located at the center of the Michigan Library and Historical Center:

The Library of Michigan is collaborating with the Archives of Michigan and Michigan Genealogical Council on the 2024 Barbara J. Brown Family History Seminar on May 10-11, 2024. The two-day event features keynote speaker Ari Wilkins, several session options, and a Friday evening research lock-in at the Archives of Michigan and Library of Michigan.
