Youth Employment Month is celebrated each June to help raise awareness about the importance of youth earning valuable skills and training for the future.
The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) partners with local businesses and Michigan Works! agencies to develop and promote productive opportunities for youth, ages 16-24.
LEO also offers career exploration through Pathfinder and programs that promote equal access to career exploration and employment for youth with disabilities via the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons and Michigan Rehabilitation Services.
