2026 MAETC Information and Conference Committee
To: Adult Education Directors and Adult Education Information subscribers
 The 2026 Michigan Adult Education and Training Conference (MAETC) will be held on May 5-7, 2026, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Kalamazoo. This year’s conference theme, The Power of Us, will highlight the unstoppable impact of educators, administrators and partners joining forces to transform lives and strengthen Michigan’s workforce.
Topics will include:
- Academic Instruction
- Corrections Education
- Core Partners and Programs
- English Language Learners
- High School Equivalency Testing
- Workforce Development and IET

BECOME A CONFERENCE COMMITTEE MEMBER OR EVENT VOLUNTEER!
We need and value your input and expertise to make sure the conference reflects the needs of local administrators, teachers and staff. Please consider joining the conference committee or volunteering during the event by completing the Conference Committee and Volunteer Interest Form by Nov. 14 .

Committee members should be prepared to commit up to eight hours each month for activities that may include the planning and organization of the conference, soliciting session proposals, and reviewing and scoring of submitted proposals.

Strand leads can expect to spend an additional 10-15 hours to serve as subject matter experts and lead the evaluation of proposals.

Volunteers will provide general support during the event.
