The Home Heating Credit is a way the State of Michigan helps low-income families pay some of their heating expenses if they are a qualified Michigan homeowners or renters.
Qualified individuals are encouraged to apply for these credits by the Monday, September 30 deadline.

Gaining Early Awareness & Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a college access initiative designed to increase the number of economically-disadvantaged students who are prepared to enter postsecondary education.
To spotlight the program’s success in improving educational outcomes for millions of low-income, minority and disadvantaged students across the country, Michigan will join the rest of the country in celebrating National GEAR UP Week on September 23-27, 2024.
Michigan GEAR UP strengthens students’ academic skills and readiness for postsecondary education by offering a variety of services throughout the student’s educational career and progression in the program – from their 7th grade to their first year of college. Those services include college visits, in-school workshops, tutoring, mentoring and summer camps.
