Libraries Without Walls: Empowering Access, Inspiring Innovation
This in-person program will introduce you to various adaptive technologies and help you gain an understanding of the skills needed to successfully use them. Patrons, caregivers, students, and professionals alike will find the sessions informative and useful.
The Keynote address will be given by Michael May, Executive Director of the Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind. Crashing through: a story of risk, adventure, and the man who dared to see by Robert Kurson (DB 63747 / BR 17156) is a profile of Michael, who was blinded at age three and later became a champion skier, CIA analyst, and entrepreneur.
Attendees will then choose breakout sessions and visit vendor tables that meet their individual needs.
