March is National Reading Month and you can celebrate by receiving FREE audio and braille books from the Braille & Talking Book Library (BTBL)! You don't have to have a visual impairment to become a BTBL patron.
If you have a physical impairment that prevents you from holding a physical book, or if standard print has become difficult to read, you can also sign up!
Last year, the library served more than 8,700 patrons, disseminating nearly 690,000 audio books. And YOU can be next!

Learn more about the services offered at the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons Training Center during their Virtual Meet & Greet on Saturday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The BSBP Training Center provides comprehensive instruction to individuals who are blind and visually impaired to help them gain independence and learn job skills. Individuals between 14 and 26 years of age who have a visual impairment are encouraged to attend.
This is an opportunity for families to meet some of the Training Center staff and learn about the programs offered for students throughout the summer.

Michigan Rural Enhanced Access to Careers in Healthcare (MiREACH) provides support for the education and training needed to get started in a variety of in-demand healthcare careers.
As a MiREACH participant, you can receive on-the-job training, related classroom instruction, earn a paycheck, and get your foot in the door for a career that has great advancement opportunities. MiREACH participants may also be eligible for various wraparound supports such as transportation and childcare.
Plus, you’ll have the chance to make a positive, meaningful impact in a rural Michigan community.
