When a provider creates their Michigan Virtual account, there is a space to list their MiRegistry ID. Providers should provide their MiRegistry ID and select “I want all of my eligible courses to be sent to MiRegistry” so completion will transfer to their MiRegistry profile.
Providers can register for this training by visiting either the MiRegistry Statewide Training Calendar or Michigan Virtual Professional Learning Portal. For step-by-step instructions, review the Navigating to the Michigan Ongoing Health and Safety Training Refresher 2026 Course guide.

New competitive Re-enrollment Services grant funding will support personalized outreach and coaching to reengage adults with some college and no degree
LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) today announced the launch and opening of applications for the new Re‑Enrollment Services Grant, a competitive funding opportunity designed to help Michigan colleges and universities reengage adults who previously stopped out of college before completing a degree.
Michigan’s statewide Sixty by 30 goal calls for 60% of working age adults to hold a postsecondary credential by 2030. Reengaging adults with some college and no degree is essential to achieving this goal. These students often face complex barriers – including work and caregiving responsibilities, financial constraints, and difficulty navigating institutional systems – that can make returning to college challenging without direct, personalized support.
“Re‑enrollment efforts are critical to helping adult learners reconnect with higher education and complete the credentials that unlock economic opportunity,” said Dr. Beverly Walker‑Griffea, executive director of MiLEAP. “Through this grant, we are supporting Michigan institutions in building sustained, proactive outreach strategies that meet adult learners where they are and help them take the next step toward completion.”

Award recognizes public service and leadership as Wolf joins MiLEAP with nearly 15 years of policy experience
LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) congratulates Legislative Director Henry Wolf on receiving Central Michigan University’s (CMU) 2026 President’s Award for Public and Civic Impact, which recognizes alumni in the public sector who demonstrate outstanding leadership, social responsibility and a commitment to community impact.
Wolf recently joined MiLEAP as legislative director, bringing nearly 15 years of experience in public policy, legislative affairs, rural economic development and government relations. His career began in 2011 through CMU’s Capital City Internship Program. Since then, he has served as director of the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance, director of policy and grant programs for the Michigan Office of Rural Prosperity, and legislative director in the Michigan House of Representatives. Throughout his career, Wolf has played a key role in advancing regulatory reform, supporting economic development and securing more than $30 million in funding for higher education and community initiatives across Michigan.
“Henry’s recognition reflects the kind of public service and commitment to community that are essential to moving Michigan forward,” said Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea, executive director of MiLEAP. “His experience navigating policy and legislative processes has already proved an asset as we continue working to ensure Michiganders have access to the education, resources and opportunities they need to thrive. From early childhood through adulthood, MiLEAP is focused on strengthening pathways for lifelong learning and opportunity, and I’m excited to have Henry’s leadership and experience supporting that mission.”
CMU’s President’s Award for Public and Civic Impact celebrates alumni who bring a “Fired-Up” passion and a “We Do” attitude to serving the public good. The award recognizes the contributions of public-sector leaders who demonstrate outstanding leadership and social responsibility.
At MiLEAP, Wolf will support the department’s legislative priorities and its work to ensure every Michigander has the support and opportunities needed to thrive from birth to earning a postsecondary credential that leads to high-wage careers.
