Our training sessions for the New Child Care Rules for Group and Family Homes are continuing throughout the month of August. You can find the remainder of our in-person and virtual trainings on our Licensed Child Care Provider Training page.
Additionally, our self-paced training course is accessible through the Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children's (MiAEYC) Knowledge Center. To register for this training and access it, please log in to your existing MiAEYC account, or create a user account in the MiAEYC Knowledge Center. This is a free account that allows you to access training and resources from the MiAEYC Knowledge Center. New Home Rules Self-Paced Training

- Northeast & UP Region: 8/8/26 Cancelled due to low enrollment
- Pontiac Region: 8/12/26 Cancelled, more information to come about a new date and location
Child Care Licensing is in the process of rolling out a refreshed and modernized website. You may have already noticed a redesigned home page, and over the next several days you will continue to see additional updates as the new design is implemented across the site. The website refresh is expected to be fully completed by next week.
These changes are designed to make the website easier to use. You will need fewer clicks to find information, and repeated information has been removed. Our goal is to make it easier for you to find the resources you need.
As updates continue, if you notice anything that appears incorrect—such as a broken link or missing information—please let us know by contacting the Child Care Licensing Help Desk at MiLEAP-CCLB-Help@michigan.gov.

CCLB is updating its forms to align with Michigan's new child care licensing rules for child care homes and child care centers. Revised forms will be released on an ongoing basis and posted to the CCLB Forms webpage as they become available.
If a form is marked obsolete, you must replace it with the current version within one year of the latest revision date.

Three organizations selected to build on MiLEAP’s ongoing efforts to increase awareness of postsecondary education opportunities
LANSING, Mich. – Three Michigan organizations have been selected to receive a combined $750,000 in grant funding to expand statewide outreach on higher education opportunities.
Launched by the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP), the Advance Michigan: Reframing the Value of Higher Education Grant initiative supports nonprofit organizations in developing innovative, research-driven communications and outreach strategies that complement the state’s existing efforts, address misconceptions about college affordability and value, and help more Michiganders make informed decisions about their futures.

Consumer Safety Alert: CPSC Warns Consumers About Fake and Counterfeit Squishy Toys; Reiterates Warning About Serious Burn Hazards
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers about fake and counterfeit squishy toys that may pose serious risks to children. CPSC is also reiterating its warning about serious burn hazards associated with a viral social media trend encouraging children and teens to microwave squishy toys.
