Walkabouts Platform Offers No-Cost Movement-Based Educational Resource
The Michigan Department of Education is offering no-cost access to the Walkabouts platform, a movement-based educational resource for students in pre-K through 5th grade. Teachers and students can access the online resource on any device to select an on-demand, highly engaging interactive lesson. Moving and learning are better together.
The Walkabouts platform is an evidence-based resource shown to enhance math, language arts, reading, science, and social studies, and improve behavior through integrating movement. The platform is aligned to State of Michigan Academic Standards, plus Head Start and National Association for the Education of Young Children standards.
Access to the Spring 2025 Walkabouts platform is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Principals and district leaders can ensure their teachers have access to movement-rich lessons that reinforce academic content.
For more information, contact Walkabouts founder and CEO Dr. Julian A. Reed at www.walkabouts.com.
