Hello,
MI Student Aid is pleased to announce that it is partnering with the scholastic engagement company DistrictWON to help schools raise awareness of the Michigan Achievement Scholarship for high schoolers and especially seniors.
All Michigan high school seniors can earn a certificate or associate's degree tuition-free at their local community college, earn up to $27,500 at Michigan public or private university or earn up to $4,000 at a career training program. Students become eligible by simply completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
MI Student Aid would like as many students as possible to have an opportunity to access this funding. Please be on the lookout for an upcoming email and phone calls from DistrictWON with more details.
Guidance counselors, principals, superintendents and other district personnel can help raise awareness of this potentially life-changing opportunity by spreading the word about the Michigan Achievement Scholarship.
To help with this, MI Student Aid is providing the following:
- Informational materials to place in high-traffic areas within your school.
- Giveaways and swag
- A link to a digital toolkit will be shared that houses engagement tools for your district's use (social media posts, flyers, PA announcements, E-mail blast language and more).
- Additionally, monthly emails will be sent to the district with a reminder about the appropriate message for each month.
What We Need From You
To help activate this program, we're asking for your help in identifying specific people who could help manage this program at your school. Once you've decided who would be your best point of contact, please submit their information.
Awareness of the Michigan Achievement Scholarship is a high priority for the State of Michigan. Your collaboration is instrumental in ensuring that your district's seniors know how to access this vital financial support. This campaign is scheduled to start this month.
Thank you for your time and consideration. MI Student Aid is committed to helping your district's students secure financial help as they plan their futures in Michigan.
