Final Payment for Academic Year 2023-24 Certification/Reimbursement - Deadline: August 14, 2024
The final payment date for Academic Year 2023-24 for all State financial aid programs is scheduled for August 14, 2024. To be included in the final payment, awards must be certified and reimbursements requested by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on August 13, 2024. Only accepted requests that are submitted prior to the deadline will be included in the final payment.
Tuition Incentive Program Funding Update
Tuition Incentive Program 2023-24 utilization has increased in both the number of students awarded and dollars requested. It is anticipated a final request for additional funds will need to be issued to the State Budget Office.
To ensure our request is as accurate as possible, please process adjustments and reimbursement requests as soon as possible. A survey to financial aid directors has been issued this week to request an estimate of the institutions 4th quarter payment amount. The deadline to complete this survey is 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024.
New this Year
As the first full year of the Michigan Achievement Scholarship comes to a close please complete certification for all semester/terms early. Remember to certify semesters/terms in the order they occurred. For example; Fall, Winter/Spring, then Summer regardless if the student was enrolled.
It is critical that institutions certify students early to allow institutions time to make corrections as needed. Michigan Achievement Scholarship is the largest program in MiSSG, please keep this in mind when processing students as a high amount of traffic can slow processing times.

Upcoming 3rd Quarter Payment Reminder
The 3rd quarter payment for Futures for Frontliners, Futures for Frontliners Path 2, and Michigan Reconnect Scholarship is scheduled for June 28, 2024. To be included in the 3rd quarter payments, reimbursements must be requested by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on June 27, 2024. Only accepted requests that are submitted prior to the payment date will be included in the 3rd quarter payments.
Accepted requests that are processed after the 3rd quarter payment date will be included in the 4th quarter payment. The final 4th quarter payment will align with other State financial aid programs processed quarterly through MiSSG and is scheduled for August 14, 2024.
