IMPORTANT COMMUNITY INFORMATION 


Highland Park, Michigan - The City of Highland Park, Mayor Hubert Yopp, Ronald Taylor, of Detroit Area On Aging, and Gleaners Food Bank, will do a drop off of quarantine food boxes for Highland Park Seniors, on Monday, April 27, 2020, at 10:30 am  (While Supplies Last). This is sponsored by the State of Michigan, Gleaners Food Bank, the Detroit Area Agency On Aging (DAAA), The City of Highland Park, and Mayor Hubert Yopp. 

  • Day and Time of Distribution: 
    • Monday, April 27, 2020, 10:30am (While Supplies Last) 
  • Location: City Hall Parking Lot 
    • 12050 Woodward Ave. Highland Park, MI 48203
  • Instructions: 
    • Boxes will be distributed in a drive-through procedure, where cars will drive in from the entrance of the John R driveway, of the parking lot and drive out of the driveway, leading to back Woodward Ave.
    • Seniors must be 60 and older.
    • Volunteers will not approach any people, boxes will be placed in the trunk of cars, only
    • Names, and birthdays,  will be asked  making sure that seniors are being served, only. This process will be done at 6 ft. away from cars.
    • No Walk-Up traffic is allowed.

5 frozen meals box, will be delivered to seniors, in private homes, people's community services are including, Highland Park in their congregate meal program, sponsored through Detroit area agency on aging.
