NEWS RELEASE

 

HIGHLAND PARK, MICH. –  The City of Highland Park Fire Department and the American Red Cross responded to a multi-unit fire at The Manchester Place Apartments in Highland Park, Michigan.

The fire displaced six families, totaling nine people Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at approximately 9:30 p.m., and Red Cross was on scene and provided services, which included coordinated emergency aid for the affected families. None of the family members in the apartment homes were injured. The cause of the fire is not currently known; an investigation continues. 

The Red Cross has assisted six families from the fire with direct client assistance and recovery planning to meet their disaster-caused needs. The Red Cross will assist with financial support, identifying long-term recovery needs, and connecting them with resources in their community.
