Highland Park City Hall Operations are Closed due to Extreme Winter Weather Conditions

City Hall and city facilities will be closed on Thursday, January 31, 2019

Highland Park, Michigan - The City of Highland Park government offices and the 30th District Court will remain closed on Thursday, January 31, 2019, due to hazardous road conditions and extremely low temperatures. All essential and emergency personnel should report to work at their regularly scheduled time. All non-essential employees should remain at home. If you have a question about whether or not you are an essential employee, please contact your manager.

As low temperatures persist overnight, residents are encouraged to use caution and remain off the roads as Department of Public Works (DPW) crews continue to treat roadways around the clock.

If people lose power during the cold snap or don’t have heat and don’t have friends or family to stay with, the Highland Park Fire Station will be open as a warming center from 7 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019, through 8 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019.
