MAT2

Is your company in need of skilled technicians? The Michigan Economic Development Corporation is currently deploying the Michigan Advanced Technician Training Program (MAT²), an innovative and industry-defined approach to education. Benchmarked on the German Dual Education System, MAT² is an educational model, developed in conjunction with global technology leaders, that will combine theory, practice, and work experience to train a globally competitive workforce.

The first MAT² cohort, beginning in September 2013, will train students in the field of Mechatronics, and the MEDC is looking to expand the program in the coming year to include additional occupations. Please take a brief survey about your company’s technical employment needs and potential interest in participating in the new MAT² program.
