Workforce Intelligence Network Releases Q1 2013 Employment
Demand Findings
Detroit—The
Workforce Intelligence Network of Southeast Michigan (WIN) released its first
quarterly report outlining labor market trends, including real-time employer
demand determined through online job postings, for the nine counties of Southeast
Michigan (Genesee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Shiawassee, St. Clair,
Washtenaw, Wayne) and the City of Detroit. Read the report here.

This yearly event looks at key economic development tools comprehensively from both an informational and implementation aspect. In March of 2011, the U.S.
Chamber of Commerce's National Chamber Foundation launched Hiring Our Heroes, a
nationwide initiative to help veterans and military spouses find meaningful
employment. Hiring Our Heroes has hosted more than 365 hiring fairs
around the country and helped more than 14,100 veterans find jobs.
The organization expanded their
efforts in 2012 with a goal of hosting hiring fairs in 400 communities, the
establishment of a stand-alone program for military spouses, and a sustained
campaign to enlist commitments from the small business community to hire
veterans and military spouses by the end of 2014.

JH is a veteran TV industry executive, who is seeking new
opportunities to apply skills in management, sales and negotiation, and budget
direction. With a strong background in international business development and
revenue growth, coupled with experience with non-profits, JH is looking for
opportunities with either start-ups or established business organizations
throughout Michigan. Target functions of interest for JH include strategy and
long-term planning, marketing and communications, international objectives,
organization and operations, and development and growth planning. JH obtained a
B.A. in Communications and Broadcasting from George Washington University, and

TL is a “hands on” mechanical engineer with extensive steel
mill manufacturing experience, seeking to apply technical engineering,
business, and project management expertise in the manufacturing business
environment. Engineering experiences range from design oversight and
construction to maintaining operations with diminishing budgets. TL is a
dedicated mechanical engineer with years of experience, characterized by a
depth of technical skills and a creative approach to problem solving. TL
received a B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and an MBA from the
Illinois Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the
University of Illinois, an M.E.M. in Engineering Management and an M.A. in
Economics and Finance from the University of Detroit-Mercy, and a Certificate
