how creative and collaborative engineering can be and how engineers are

MEDC's LiveWorkLaunch! provides ground-floor opportunity to connect with budding entrepreneurs
Last week, MEDC announced LiveWorkLaunch!, a new initiative designed to showcase opportunities for entreprenuerial college graduates looking to build a Michigan-based business. LiveWorkLaunch! helps these entreprenuers connect to the support and
capital they need to take an innovative business plan from concept to reality. The event includes a pitch competition with a top prize of $10,000 and a variety of goods and services to help the winning concept get off the ground.

Monroe County Community College (MCCC)
is seeking employers and service organizations interested in participating in
the third annual Career and
Opportunity Expo, designed to bring together students, colleges, employers, and community members, and highlight employment opportunities and resources for returning veterans. Last year's event attracted more than 400 job
seekers and featured 88 exhibitors.
The Career and Opportunity Expo is
scheduled for Friday, April 12 in the Welch
Health Education
Building on the MCCC Main Campus at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd.
in Monroe.The registration fee is $50 for
employers and $25 for service organizations, with breakfast and lunch

Wal-mart has announced plans to hire more than 100,000 veterans over the next five years. "Hiring a
veteran can be one of the best decisions any of us can make,” said William S. Simon, president and CEO of Wal-Mart U.S.
