Arab Health 2020

Arab Health Trade Mission

January 24 - February 1, 2020
Dubai, United Arab Emirates

MEDC is once again sponsoring a Michigan booth at Arab Health, the largest gathering of healthcare and trade professionals in the MENA region, and is seeking companies to exhibit within the Michigan booth. The 2020 edition of the event will welcome more than 4,150 exhibiting companies and 84,500 attendees from 160+ countries. 

Sectorization: Arab Health 2020 will be sectorized to improve and target traffic flow, fast track connections, increase better quality leads, and align with standard practices within the trade show industry. MEDC will sponsor a booth located within the US Pavilion in the Medical Device sector. Companies are welcome to exhibit within the Michigan booth regardless of product sector.

Included Services: Hotel accommodations, welcome reception, mission briefing, entry fee to Arab Health and company kiosk within Michigan booth in Medical Device sector, networking events, logistical assistance, and customized B2B matchmaking meetings. 

Financial Assistance: Cost to participate is $5,000 per company and each additional representative is $1,500. Eligible companies may qualify for MI-STEP Grant funds to offset 50% of the cost to travel. India Trade Mission

Trade Mission to India

Hosted by Automation Alley
January 31 - February 8, 2020
New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune, India

Automation Alley and MEDC are seeking Michigan companies to join the trade mission to India, the world's fastest growing economy. India, a nation of 1.3 billion consumers, has an especially strong demand for Michigan-made products, services and technologies.

Included Services: Hotel accommodations, mission briefing, receptions, networking events, customized B2B matchmaking meetings, business tours, and in-country ground transportation. 

Financial Assistance: Cost to participate is $5,500 per company for non-Automation Alley members. Eligible companies may qualify for MI-STEP Grant funds to offset 50% of the cost to travel. What's new with the Trade team?

Consular Corps Reception

Last week, the Trade team attended the 27th Annual Consular Corps Reception at the Governor’s residence. The event is an opportunity for the international community in Michigan to come together with decision makers and business leaders across the state. Attendees included the Michigan Consular Corps; select Consuls General from Chicago; the cabinet, legislative leadership; university presidents and international staff; international chambers of commerce and other international groups in Michigan; and local economic development officials.

Canada & Mexico Centers Visit Michigan

Attending the Consular Corps with the Trade team were MEDC’s International Trade Center representatives Nancy Ward (Canada Center) and Silvia Alonso (Mexico Center). Nancy and Silvia were in Michigan to meet in person with many companies and local partners across the state. Both representatives presented during the Van Andel Global Trade Center “Doing Business in Mexico and Canada” program on 9/25.
