Pure Sounds of Michigan

Pure Sounds of Michigan is a soothing album that invites listeners to take a virtual tour of some of our favorite state parks as interpreted by some of Michigan’s most talented musicians. Michigan State Parks Celebrate 100 Years

You’re invited to join the Michigan State Parks centennial celebration! Share memories and photos, attend special events, explore new—or favorite—parks and learn more about our parks and surrounding areas. Michigan’s 103 state parks and recreation areas welcome 28 million visitors to enjoy Michigan’s great outdoor recreation options each year. Plan now to take part in some of the festivities taking place throughout the year-long celebration.

We’re Rolling into National Bike Month

There’s truly a month for everything… and National Bike Month, in May, is right up our alley—or should we say trail? Traverse City’s extensive trail system leads past millions of blooming cherry trees—an unbelievable display for cyclists. There’s also 234 miles of continuous shoreline, a vast urban trail system and plenty off-road opportunities.

There’s nothing like a Michigan summer… and there’s no place like Grand Rapids to enjoy it. Paddle rivers and lakes, fish the day away, bike city streets or backcountry trails and more—all close and convenient to big-city food, culture and entertainment. Bring your own gear or rent it here.
