Celebrate
the art of the craft cocktail now thru November 19 in Michigan’s creative
beverage capital. Grand Rapids’ best bartenders use locally-made spirits to
enhance classic drinks—and even invent new ones. Experience tantalizing “pair
and share specials” at 40+ participating locations and enjoy two Michigan
cocktails and a shared-plate appetizer for $25 or less. It all takes place
during Cocktail Week Grand Rapids.

Recognized
as one of the best holiday parades in the country, America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented
by Art Van is celebrating its 91st anniversary. Stepping off in downtown
Detroit, the iconic parade will feature celebrities including Smokey Robinson
and Jimmy Fallon, larger-than-life balloons, marching bands and specialty
groups. On
Thanksgiving morning, the city will also host an estimated 20,000
runners participating in one of the nation’s largest 10k races—the 35th Strategic Staffing Solutions Turkey
Trot.
