The team celebrated a new record of over $606M in FY17 facilitated export sales and shattered the goal of $575M. The program allocated more than $1.5M in STEP incentives to 268 Michigan companies. Companies assisted by the MEDC International Trade program reported the highest export sales to Mexico ($144.5M), China ($137.4M), Canada ($109.7M), and the United Kingdom ($22M). We look forward to another year of helping Michigan companies reach international markets.

The mission delegation will make stops in Mexico City and Monterrey. Each mission participant will receive a customized schedule of B2B meetings to connect with prospective customers and business partners. From 2009 to 2011, Dr. Naumovski was deputy president of the government of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of European affairs. In that post he began the process for Macedonia’s entry into the European Union. Macedonia is currently listed as a “candidate country,” in the process of integrating E.U. legislation into national law.
