This week, I'm in our Nation’s Capital as the world travel industry gathers for IPW. 
 
Twenty-one Michigan destination partners have had a full schedule of meetings to showcase our state as a place to experience "authentic America". 
 
Last Friday, I joined Kevin Klein, director of the Cherry Capitol Airport in Dallas as we inaugurated a new American Airlines flight to TVC. This daily direct flight was the result of a partnership between TVC and the Gaylord Golf Mecca. It will provide easy and affordable access to northern Michigan and among other things, our Texas visitors will now find it easier to enjoy golfing in Pure Michigan.
 
As a part of our golf promotion strategy, we've increased our social media presence in Dallas and Atlanta this season, encouraging visitors to enjoy golf in our state...where temperate weather and long summer days give you plenty of time for extra rounds. We will continue to promote Michigan as one of the best places to play golf in the country on our special golf passion landing page and we hope you will set aside some time to enjoy some of Michigan's excellent courses.
