INTERNATIONAL TRADE SUCCESS IN Fiscal Year 15

A key indicator for international trade success is facilitated export sales. Since the program was reestablished in FY12, the program has facilitated more than $725 million in Michigan export sales. The program has helped companies create or sustain 3,626* Michigan jobs.

*MEDC considers $200,000 in export sales= 1 job.

Mexico & Peru

March 6-12, 2016

Join MEDC’s trade mission to accelerate your export sales to Mexico and/or Peru or sell to the market for the first time. Save valuable time by working with in-country experts who will help you navigate the market and put you directly in front of prospective business partners. Mission participants will receive customized B2B meetings, turnkey business services and participate in country briefings and networking events.

Expanding Your Exports Seminar

Registration is now open for the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development's International Marketing Program and the Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan's upcoming seminar, ‘Expanding Your Exports’. The seminar will take place from 9:00 am-1:30 pm (registration will begin at 8:30am) on February 9, 2016, at the Henry Center in East Lansing, Michigan. The seminar will provide a great opportunity for companies that are interested in increasing their international business in new or existing markets. The cost to participate is only $35 (registration price includes lunch).

Featured presenter, Matt Tripodi, of Euromonitor International, will discuss “Expanding Your Exports in the 21st Century: Opportunities & Challenges for Growth”. Also presenting is Scott Hibbard, Vice President of Comerica Bank, who will provide valuable insight into export financing.

The seminar will include Keynote Lunch Speaker, Star of the West Milling Company, the 2015 Michigan Ag Exporter of the Year.
