Public meeting to discuss roundabout at
M-11 (Wilson Avenue) and Remembrance Road
WHAT:
Public open house to discuss the planned 2015 construction of a roundabout at the intersection of M-11 (Wilson Avenue) and Remembrance Road in the city of Walker. Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and City of Walker officials will be available for questions and comments.

BACKGROUND:
MDOT is planning to install a roundabout at the M-11/Remembrance Road intersection in Walker in 2015 to increase safety, reduce crashes and relieve congestion. There are many benefits to using roundabouts, including a decrease in serious crashes, fewer traffic delays, lower fuel consumption, increased vehicle capacity and enhanced intersection aesthetics.
