Construction update for I-94 BL/Stadium Dr and Drake Road

As construction continues at the I-94 Business Loop (BL)/Stadium Drive intersection at Drake Road in Kalamazoo, here is what motorists can expect to see happening.
- Traffic is shifted to the south side of Stadium Drive. The north half of I-94 BL/Stadium Drive and the east half of Drake Road are being reconstructed. New Curb and driveways are being constructed.
- Material is being placed on the north side of I-94 BL/Stadium Drive for the new US-131 ramps.
The following lane closures are in place or will take place as indicated.
- One lane of I-94 BL/Stadium Drive will remain open throughout the project.
- One lane of Drake Road will be closed throughout the project.
The following lane closures apply to US-131 and the ramps to and from Stadium Drive (weather dependent). There are no scheduled lane closures on US-131 or ramps until after July 4.
- I-94 BL/Stadium Drive will remain in its current configuration through the July 4 weekend.
- There will be a traffic shift on northbound US-131 on July 7.
- The northbound US-131 ramp to eastbound I-94 BL/Stadium Drive will be closed July 7 - 21. The recommended detour is northbound US-131 to M-43 /West Main to Drake Road.
- The westbound I-94 BL/Stadium Drive ramp to northbound US-131 will be closed July 7 - 25.
